At a glance
Over 10 Lac people suffer from degenerative diseases of the retina, the nerve layer of the eye. Most of these diseases are incurable, progressive and first become noticeable in kids. Such patients need a significant amount of time with doctors that includes counselling and support. Given the overflowing out patient departments of most big ophthalmic hospitals in India, it is hard for eye specialists to provide adequate time to these patients.
CEGR was conceptualized to address this challenge. It is a stand-alone eye centre , which will primarily aim to help patients suffering from degenerative diseases of the retina and low vision.
